Bambi — 2013

Bambi bridges the gap between a practical trestle and a qualitative aesthetic.

It deals with situations such as the expansion or relocation of workstations and explores possible design solutions based on a simple concept: surface plus legs. How do these two parts come together? How do they break apart and, moreover, what happens if the surface comes in different sizes and shapes?

After proving various clamp principles, a simple and subtle one was translated onto the table legs. The angle of the tablelegs can be adjusted through the wooden clamp, to guarantee a constant overall height for different counter thicknesses.
